Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited has announced the resignation of two of its senior management personnel, Mr. Umesh Kumar Bansal and Ms. Laxmi Shetty, citing personal reasons. The company disclosed this development in a regulatory filing to the National Stock Exchange of India.
Mr. Umesh Kumar Bansal, who served as the Chief Business Officer at Zee Studios, has been with the organisation for over a decade. His resignation will take effect from 31st May 2026. In his resignation letter, Mr. Bansal expressed gratitude for the trust, mentorship, and support he received during his tenure at Zee Entertainment. He affirmed his commitment to ensuring a smooth transition and supporting the continuity of business operations.
Ms. Laxmi Shetty, who has been with the company for 21 years, also tendered her resignation due to personal reasons. Her resignation will be effective from 9th November 2026. In her communication, Ms. Shetty thanked the CEO, Mr. Punit Goenka, for the numerous opportunities and support over the years, and expressed her appreciation for the growth and learning experiences she gained at the company. She assured the management of her continued support during her notice period, which she is serving as per company norms.
