Patel Engineering Limited has been blacklisted by the of the Government of , effective from 27 May 2026 to 26 May 2029. The blacklisting pertains to a joint venture (JV) involving and Private Limited, known as RAMAN PATEL J.V.

The JV was formed for bidding and executing the Sunkoshi Marin Diversion Multipurpose Project, Lot-1, under the Ministry of Energy, Department of Water Resources and Irrigation, Government of Nepal. Patel Engineering holds a 35% stake in the JV, while Raman Construction is the lead partner with a 65% stake.

Disputes between the JV and the employer regarding their respective obligations led to the termination of the contract and subsequent blacklisting. The disputes are currently pending adjudication and remain sub-judice.

Despite the blacklisting, Patel Engineering has stated that there will be no material impact on its financials and operations, as all project execution activities were under the domain and responsibility of Raman Construction, the lead partner of the JV.
