RMC Switchgears Limited has achieved a major milestone by securing a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from the Government of Rajasthan for the installation of rooftop solar systems across state government buildings in Jaipur and Dausa. This project, with a total capacity of 50 MW, aligns with Rajasthan’s commitment to renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure development.
Under this contract, RMC Switchgears will handle the design, supply, erection, and commissioning of rooftop solar installations. The project will be executed under the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM), ensuring long-term financial viability. Additionally, RMC will be responsible for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of these solar systems for the next 25 years. The contract is valued at Rs 229 crore for project execution, with an additional recurring revenue of ₹91 crore from O&M services, securing a stable long-term income stream for the company.
This milestone highlights RMC’s commitment to India’s clean energy transition, reinforcing its Solar EPC and Independent Power Producer (IPP) footprint. As Rajasthan accelerates its renewable energy initiatives, this project enables RMC to capitalize on emerging opportunities in the solar sector.
According to Ankit Agrawal, CEO and Whole-Time Director of RMC Switchgears, this project reinforces the company’s commitment to sustainable energy solutions while supporting Rajasthan’s ambitious solar energy goals. He emphasized that the initiative also complements RMC’s investment in solar module manufacturing, enhancing execution efficiency and long-term value creation.
As RMC continues to scale its renewable energy portfolio, this project brings the company closer to its Vision 2030 objectives while contributing to India’s clean energy mission.
