RMC Switchgears Limited has recently informed exchanges that it has been awarded a contract to lead a consortium. The consortium will work on a solar power project to solarize agricultural feeders in Maharashtra.
The contract was won through a competitive bidding procedure and an e-reverse auction and it marks a key milestone for RMC Switchgears Limited as it increases its presence in the renewable energy industry.
The consortium received three different EPC contracts and three years of O&M contracts in the Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra, with a consolidated order value of ₹201 crores (including GST).
These new orders not only strengthen RMC Switchgears Limited’s position in developing renewable energy, but they also greatly contribute to India’s climate action commitments under the Paris Agreement.
