Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone has expressed its in-principle interest in becoming one of the ‘Implementing Entities’ for the resolution plan of Jaiprakash Associates Limited. This development follows the approval of the resolution plan by the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) in Allahabad on March 17, 2026.
The resolution plan, submitted by Adani Enterprises, allows for the nomination of one or more implementing entities to execute the plan or parts of it by acquiring assets from Jaiprakash Associates. Adani Ports has shown interest in acquiring certain aviation assets and gaining indirect control over Kanpur Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited, which holds industrial and commercial lands in Kanpur.
The company intends to carry out this acquisition directly or indirectly through its subsidiaries, Karnavati Aviation Private Limited and Mandhata Build Estate Limited, pending necessary approvals.
