Graphite India Ltd reported its second-quarter (Q2 FY2025) results, showing a sharp decline in profitability even as revenue rose on a yearly basis.

The company’s net profit fell 60.5% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹77 crore, compared to ₹195 crore in the same quarter last year. Despite this steep fall in profit, revenue increased 13.4% YoY to ₹729 crore, up from ₹643 crore in Q2 FY2024, indicating stronger topline performance but weaker margins.

Operating performance took a major hit, with EBITDA tumbling 61% YoY to ₹43 crore from ₹110 crore last year. The EBITDA margin contracted sharply to 5.9%, compared to 17.1% in the year-ago period.
