SpiceJet has strengthened its winter schedule by inducting five additional aircraft on damp lease, taking its total fleet additions this season to ten. The latest inductions include the successful reactivation of a Boeing 737 MAX, complementing three Boeing 737s and one Airbus A340 that were recently added to its operational lineup.
All five newly inducted aircraft have commenced commercial operations, significantly boosting the airline’s capacity across key domestic and international routes. This expansion comes at a crucial time, as the airline gears up to meet the surging passenger demand during the peak winter travel period.
By the end of November 2025, SpiceJet aims to more than double its operational fleet and triple its available seat kilometres (ASKM) — a key measure of passenger-carrying capacity. This milestone marks a strong comeback for the carrier as it continues to rebuild its network and reinforce its position in the competitive Indian aviation market.
Debojo Maharshi, Chief Business Officer, SpiceJet, said, “These inductions mark another significant step in our fleet and network expansion strategy. The response to our new flights has been extremely encouraging, and we remain committed to further strengthening our operations across both domestic and international markets. This ongoing expansion will more than double our operational fleet and triple our available seat kilometres (ASKM) by the end of November, ensuring seamless travel experiences across India and beyond.”
