Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Limited has secured a major order from the New & Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Ltd (NREDCAP). The order, valued at Rs 445.04 crore (excluding GST), involves the design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of 2KW solar rooftop systems for 38,699 SC & ST consumers under the PM-Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojna.

This project, executed through the utility-led aggregation (CAPEX) model, covers five divisions of Andhra Pradesh: Kovur, Tirupati Rural, Puttur, Chittoor (O), and Chittoor (R). Crompton will also provide operation and maintenance (O&M) services for five years, with the project expected to be completed within approximately six months.

The contract highlights Crompton Greaves’ growing footprint in the renewable energy sector in India and reinforces its position as a trusted partner in government-led solar initiatives. The project will benefit thousands of SC and ST households by providing sustainable, clean energy solutions, aligning with India’s green energy and solar power goals.

The order is entirely domestic, with no involvement from promoter groups or related parties, and underscores the company’s expertise in large-scale solar rooftop deployment.
