Deepak Nitrite Limited has inaugurated its advanced Deepak Research & Development Centre (DRDC) 2.0 at Savli, Vadodara. The new facility, spread across a 5-acre green campus, aims to strengthen the company’s innovation capabilities in chemicals, petrochemicals, and advanced materials.
The DRDC 2.0 is equipped with cutting-edge laboratories, pilot plants, and specialized analytical and engineering units designed for large-scale experimentation and rapid innovation cycles. It also integrates AI-driven research tools and renewable solar power for sustainable operations.
Chairman and Managing Director Deepak Mehta said the new center “serves as an incubation hub for innovation and knowledge creation” and reflects the company’s commitment to ‘Make in India, Make for the World’. CEO Maulik Mehta added that “the inauguration marks our evolution from a manufacturing company to one deeply invested in chemistry and innovation.”
The new R&D Centre focuses on multidisciplinary chemistry and sustainable process development, with over 100 professionals, including PhDs, driving its research initiatives.
Deepak Nitrite manufactures a diverse range of chemical intermediates across seven locations and serves industries such as dyes, agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, plastics, textiles, and petro-derivatives.
