Piccadily Agro Industries Limited has successfully obtained an interim injunction from the District Court of Karnal in its ongoing trademark dispute with Radico Khaitan Limited. The legal action, filed on July 30, 2025, addresses Radico Khaitan’s use of the mark “KASHMYR” for vodka products, which Piccadily claims is deceptively similar to its registered trademarks “CASHMERE” and “CASHMIR.”

The court, in its order dated September 23, 2025, has restrained Radico Khaitan, its subsidiaries, officers, and agents from manufacturing, selling, advertising, or promoting products under the “KASHMYR” mark, or any mark that closely resembles Piccadily’s trademarks. This injunction remains in effect until the final resolution of the case.

Piccadily Agro first registered “CASHMERE” in 2015 and “CASHMIR” in 2023, both representing its luxury vodka line. The company launched its “CASHMIR” vodka in May 2025, shortly before Radico Khaitan introduced the “KASHMYR” brand. Piccadily emphasizes that this legal protection is aimed at preventing consumer confusion and safeguarding its intellectual property rights.

The company has confirmed that the matter is currently sub judice, with no financial implications expected at this stage. Updates will be provided as the case progresses.
