Unichem Laboratories reported weak Q4 FY26 earnings with a sharp fall in profitability and margin contraction on a year-on-year (YoY) basis.
The company posted a consolidated net profit of ₹10.91 crore for the quarter ended March 2026, compared to ₹52.97 crore in the same quarter last year, marking a decline of 79.4% YoY.
Revenue from operations stood at ₹575.12 crore in Q4 FY26 against ₹587.18 crore in Q4 FY25, reflecting a decline of 2.1% YoY.
Total income for the quarter stood at ₹598.59 crore versus ₹596.43 crore in the year-ago period. Total expenses increased to ₹567.44 crore from ₹538.63 crore, impacting overall profitability during the quarter.
Profit before tax (PBT) declined to ₹18.79 crore in Q4 FY26 from ₹57.80 crore reported in Q4 FY25. Tax expenses for the quarter rose to ₹7.88 crore against ₹4.83 crore last year.
For the full financial year FY26, the company reported revenue from operations of ₹2,201.85 crore, compared to ₹2,110.97 crore in FY25, registering growth of 4.3% YoY.
Annual net profit surged to ₹252.84 crore in FY26 from ₹137.52 crore in the previous fiscal, reflecting growth of 83.9% YoY, supported by exceptional income during the year.
The company reported exceptional income of ₹201.86 crore in FY26, which significantly boosted yearly profitability despite weaker quarterly performance.
