Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has operationalised a new 125 MW solar power project at Khavda in Gujarat, further strengthening its position in India’s renewable energy sector. The project has been developed by Adani Renewable Energy Fifty Six Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of AGEL.
The company confirmed that the plant was operationalised at 1:40 p.m. on September 1, 2025, after securing the required clearances. With this addition, AGEL’s total operational renewable generation capacity now stands at 15,990.5 MW, marking another significant step in its growth trajectory.
Khavda in Gujarat has emerged as one of the country’s largest renewable energy hubs, offering vast potential for solar and wind projects. AGEL’s latest commissioning aligns with its broader strategy to expand clean energy generation and support India’s transition to sustainable power sources.
