Genesys International has partnered with HERE Technologies, a global leader in digital mapping, to transform the in-car navigation experience and improve road safety across India. This collaboration aims to develop next-generation navigation systems with integrated Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), designed to reduce distracted driving and improve situational awareness.

The joint system will offer Indian drivers real-time traffic updates, road hazard alerts, live map navigation, and AI-powered route optimization, including features tailored for electric vehicles such as nearby charging stations. By integrating HERE’s cockpit-ready software with Genesys’s ADAS capabilities, the solution promises to deliver a seamless and intuitive digital driving experience.

With over 80,000 road fatalities annually in India—3,000 of which are linked to mobile phone use—this initiative seeks to bring technology-driven safety to the forefront. A HERE survey revealed that 98% of Indian drivers are concerned about road safety, and 91% see ADAS as essential.

As India’s automotive industry shifts toward Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs), this partnership addresses the growing demand for smart in-vehicle systems. Looking ahead, HERE and Genesys also plan to establish a mobility innovation center in India to co-develop solutions tailored to local road conditions and driver behavior.

HERE’s technology is already trusted in over 222 million vehicles globally, with 54 million vehicles using its ADAS and automated driving features. This move signals a strong step toward smarter, safer mobility for Indian roads.
