BF Utilities has reported its financial performance for the quarter ended December 31, 2024 (Q3 FY24). The company’s revenue from operations stood at ₹209.83 crore, marking a 14.5% year-on-year (YoY) decline compared to ₹245.53 crore reported in the same quarter last year.
Despite the dip in revenue, the company posted a net profit of ₹83.93 crore in Q3 FY24, up 10.4% from ₹76.03 crore in Q3 FY23. The improvement in profitability can be attributed to a significant reduction in total expenses, which declined to ₹102.34 crore in Q3 FY24 from ₹149.34 crore in the year-ago period.
The total revenue, including other income, stood at ₹216.34 crore during the quarter, down from ₹250.67 crore in Q3 FY23. Profit before tax rose to ₹113.99 crore, up from ₹101.32 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.
Small-cap player BF Utilities will announce its Q4FY25 results today itself, on April 9. The company had earlier informed the exchanges that the board would consider and approve the unaudited consolidated financial results for the quarter ended December 31, 2024, on the same day, followed by Q4FY25.
These results indicate operational efficiency gains despite a soft revenue environment. Lower construction expenses and controlled employee benefit costs have contributed to the bottom line.
