Shares of Jaykay Enterprises Ltd jumped nearly 4% after the company announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, JK Defence & Aerospace Limited, had received possession of five acres of land for setting up a new manufacturing unit. The land, allotted by the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) at Devanahalli General Industrial Area (ITIR), Bangalore Rural District, will be used for the production of precision-turned components and other engineering goods for the defence, aerospace, and allied industries. The investment proposal had previously received approval from the Office of the Commissioner for Industrial Development and Director of Industries and Commerce, Government of Karnataka. Along with the land, JK Defence has also been granted necessary permissions for water and power connections, as well as no-objection certificates (NOCs) from the state industry authorities.
The possession certificate for the land was officially received by JK Defence on March 5, 2025, at 3:10 p.m. This step marks a significant milestone for Jaykay Enterprises as it expands its footprint in the defence and aerospace manufacturing sector. The company emphasized that this new facility aligns with its long-term strategic vision and is expected to enhance its production capabilities in high-growth industries.
This latest development has driven positive sentiment among investors, with the stock price climbing 3.57% to ₹124.70 in early trade on March 6, 2025. Jaykay Enterprises’ market capitalization now stands at ₹14.47 billion. The stock has a 52-week range of ₹64.90 to ₹185.00.
