Kalyani Powertrain, a division of Bharat Forge Ltd., has teamed up with AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) to introduce high-performance EPYC™ CPU-based servers in India. This collaboration marks a significant step toward strengthening India’s data infrastructure, AI capabilities, and cloud computing ecosystem.

The partnership was officially launched at an event in Pune, attended by key leaders from both organizations, including Baba Kalyani, Amit Kalyani and senior executives from AMD. The event featured the unveiling of the first AMD EPYC™ processor-powered server, symbolizing the start of a new era in Indian server manufacturing.

Kalyani Powertrain’s new servers will integrate AMD EPYC™ processors, known for their energy efficiency, security, and reduced Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). The future roadmap includes adding AMD Instinct™ accelerators, enabling AI and high-performance computing (HPC) workloads.

This partnership aligns with the Make in India initiative, promoting domestic manufacturing and reducing dependency on imports. By providing AI-driven, cloud-ready server solutions, this initiative will empower enterprises, hyperscalers, and government organizations to enhance their computing infrastructure.

With AMD’s cutting-edge technology and Kalyani Powertrain’s manufacturing expertise, this collaboration will drive India’s digital transformation, strengthen its data center ecosystem, and establish the country as a key player in global AI and cloud computing markets.
