NLC India Limited (NLCIL) has announced two major joint venture agreements with Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RVUNL) to set up a 375 MW lignite-based thermal power station and develop 2000 MW renewable power projects in Rajasthan.
The initial paid-up capital of the joint venture is INR 5,00,000/-, with NLCIL holding 74% and RVUNL holding 26%.

- Lignite-Based Thermal Power Station (3×125 MW)
 NLCIL and RVUNL have agreed to establish a 3×125 MW lignite-based thermal power plant in Rajasthan.
- 2000 MW Renewable Power Projects
 NLC India Renewables Limited (NIRL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NLCIL, will collaborate with RVUNL to develop 2000 MW of renewable energy projects.
