JSW Energy Limited has announced that its subsidiaries, JSW Renew Energy Six Limited and JSW Renew Energy Thirty Limited, have signed Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL). The agreements are for two Solar-Wind Hybrid projects, each with a capacity of 600 MW, totaling 1,200 MW. These projects, which are part of the company’s renewable energy pipeline, will operate under a 25-year contract at a tariff rate of ₹3.60 per kWh.

The Letters of Award for the projects were received on August 29 and September 10, 2024. The projects are expected to be commissioned within 24 months and will be connected to the State Transmission Utility (STU) in Maharashtra.

JSW Energy currently has a project pipeline of 8.3 GW, with 4.4 GW of PPAs already signed. The company has a total locked-in generation capacity of 18.2 GW, including 7.7 GW operational and 2.1 GW under construction. Additionally, the company holds 16.2 GWh of energy storage capacity and aims to achieve 20 GW generation and 40 GWh of energy storage capacity by 2030. The company is also committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
