The Great Indian Kapil Show has returned for its season two on Netflix and is being graced by some of the A-listers of the Bollywood. The opening episode of the talk show saw Alia Bhatt, Vedang Raina, Karan Johar, and director Vasan Bala promoting their movie Jigra. The show is hosted by Kapil Sharma and also features Archana Puran Singh in judge’s seat.
Now, popular paparazzi handle Instant Bollywood has shared a video, wherein Archana talks about the brutality of how she was asked to shoot despite of her mother-in-law passing the same day.
She recalled that upon receiving the news of her mother-in-law’s demise, she wanted to leave in between the shooting of an episode. “Aap baith kar laughter de dijiye… hum laga lenge jaha jokes honge [You shoot scenes of your laughter and will edit it in between the punchlines],” she recalled being said to her.
Archana said that while in her head, she was mourning for her mother-in-law, she was cheering and laughing out loud for the cameras.
