Vidya Balan recently opened up on why she and her husband prefers to live in a rented house. The actress mentioned that they did went on house hunting, but eventually decided on a rental space due to the comfort it offers. Vidya talked about it at an event, where she also noted her reasons to stay in a rented house, despite having some reservations about it.
The Kahaani actress shared that she did went on hunting house when she married producer Siddharth Roy Kapur. “We looked at around 25 houses but couldn’t agree on any,” she stated. Vidya continued that eventually they did find one which they both liked, but it was rental – something that she was not comfortable with.
However, after struggling to find their home, they returned to the same property and rented it. She said that it is really difficult to find a garden and a sea view in such a densely populated city. She also joked that the arrangement worked well for the landlord as well, because he is happy “earning a fat cheque.”
Meanwhile, the actress will soon be seen back on silver screen sharing screen space alongside Kartik Aaryan and Triptii Dimri in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
