Triptii Dimri is one of the most promising actresses of the industry, and she has shown her proven her worth as an actress, from the role of Laila Majnu to that in Bad Newz. Triptii left a fantastic impression during her performance in Animal last year, featuring Ranbir Kapoor. Still, there were numerous people who condemned the actress for featuring in a violent film that objectified her appearance and made her perform a risky scene.

Triptii responded to the criticism months after Animal has come out in theatres. The Laila Majnu, at India Today Mumbai Conclave 2024, talked about the backlash she received for playing Zoya in the highly anticipated Ranbir starrer. She said she doesn’t prefer to stay comfortable. “With Bulbbul and Qala, I found that comfort, and while I love drama, being on those sets always energised me. However, when Animal came along, I found it truly challenging.”

The Bad Newz star indicated that, being an actor, she sees the value in taking something that makes a person do something distinct.

She explained, “I would approach Zoya’s character exactly the same way I did. As humans, we all have different shades—good, bad, and even ugly. I feel that films allow us to explore these sides.” There are different sides to us as humans—working, disadvantageous, and sometimes unpleasant. I sense that films provide us an avenue to look into these sides. Dimri thinks that participation allows a person to feel a variety of emotions, and she feels blessed to have lived through so many divergent experiences across just one lifetime.
