Kangana Ranaut is among the rare Bollywood personalities who frequently deliver bold and shocking statements. She isn’t afraid to offer her thoughts when discussing the film industry, her career, and even the people she works with. Everything from Bollywood fests to alleged film industry mafias has been part of her discussions, which have left people feeling surprised. Nowadays, she has revealed some astonishing facts about Bollywood heroes engaging in harassment of women.

For several weeks now, the Hema Committee Report has disrupted the Malayalam film industry. A number of women working in the film industry have voiced their stories of sexual assault committed by male actors including the influential ones in Malayalam cinema. Kangana  talked recently at an event about the safety of women in the Hindi film industry, stating that it isn’t very safe.

The Queen actress noted during the News18 India Chaupal event in Delhi, “Do you know how do these heroes assault women? They call them for dinners, message them, and ask them to come home. Look at the Kolkata rape and murder case. Look at rape threats to me. We know that we do not respect women. The film industry is no different.” In addition, Kangana said that the comments made by college boys and the embodiment of movie heroes are similar. She reiterated that women commonly have a poor treatment at a workplace.
