Rama Steel Tubes has announced a significant expansion into the defence sector with the incorporation of a wholly-owned subsidiary, Rama Defence Private Limited. The new entity, which was officially incorporated on August 31, 2024, received its certificate of incorporation from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs on September 2, 2024.

Rama Defence Private Limited is set to operate in the defence sector, engaging in activities such as trading, importing, exporting, manufacturing, assembling, and supplying defence equipment, including arms, ammunition, explosives, and related military and security hardware. The move marks Rama Steel Tubes’ entry into a strategic and high-growth industry, broadening its business portfolio beyond its traditional steel tube manufacturing operations.

The newly formed subsidiary has an authorized capital of ₹15 lakhs and a subscribed capital of ₹1 lakh, and is entirely controlled by Rama Steel Tubes Limited. The company’s foray into the defence sector underscores its intent to diversify and tap into new markets, positioning itself for growth in the evolving defence landscape in India.
