From her musical beginnings to her rise in the Big Apple, there’s much to discover about It Ends with Us star Isabela Ferrer.
Isabela Ferrer stars in the romantic drama It Ends with Us, where she plays the younger version of Blake Lively’s character, Lily Bloom, featured in flashbacks throughout the film. This adaptation is based on Colleen Hoover’s popular novel, which explores a young woman rekindling a past romance while navigating a potentially abusive relationship.
Originally from West Village, New York City, Ferrer grew up in a vibrant, artistic environment. The 24-year-old actress has strong international ties, being Irish-Puerto Rican. She often visited Ireland, where her mother’s family lives.
Ferrer pursued her passion for acting and musical theater at Carnegie Mellon University, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Drama, Music, and Theater in 2022. During her time at Carnegie Mellon, she not only honed her craft in areas like mask work and devised theater but also studied abroad at Arthaus Berlin. Her impressive list of alumni includes Holly Hunter, Andy Warhol, and Zachary Quinto.
Ferrer’s role in It Ends with Us marks a significant milestone in her career. Before this, she had a few credits, including a role as Astrology Girl in the Paramount+ series Evil and a part in the short film Fire Burning. Ferrer described her experience working on It Ends with Us as special, noting that while she and Blake Lively’s characters are linked, they also brought their unique interpretations to the role. Ferrer found working on emotionally intense scenes like the garden scene both challenging and rewarding.
Despite her rising star, Ferrer still balances acting with a day job. She even had to miss a shift at her Brooklyn restaurant to attend a special screening of It Ends with Us at Book Bonanza 2024 in Dallas, Texas. Ferrer was thrilled by the experience, noting the warm reception from fans and the opportunity to reconnect with Colleen Hoover and other cast members.
Outside of acting, Ferrer is a passionate singer. She enjoys expressing herself through music, which she says is a way to release emotions, a trait she attributes to her musically inclined mother. Ferrer’s other interests include acrylic painting, reading autobiographies, and exploring music from different eras.
