With the consistently growing threat of climate change in India, especially in states like Delhi, the government is being forced to take drastic measures.
Previously the Supreme Court of India had directed insurance providers not to renew insurance policies for vehicles without a PUC (Pollution Control certificate).
Now, the IRDAI (Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India) has, per the Supreme Court, issues a circular. This circular prohibits the renewal of insurance for vehicles without a valid PUC.
