A Vistara flight from Delhi to Pune received a bomb threat, necessitating the evacuation of all passengers and a careful examination of the aircraft. At Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, the incident temporarily caused a hiccup. A call to the GMR call center earlier today contained the bomb threat. People with knowledge of the situation said that boarding was well begun when the call was made at 7.30 am.

Passengers were quickly deboarded from the plane and transferred to a safe distance as a precaution.

According to a person acquainted with the situation, passengers are at ease and receiving drinks and food from the cabin service. The insider said, requesting anonymity, that once authorities gave the flight the all-clear, it should take off right away.
