On Wednesday, Nita Ambani said that they will ensure the COVID-19 vaccine, when available, reaches every corner of this country. They will be using Jio’s digital infrastructure to ensure this happens. “I can assure you as soon as a coronavirus vaccine becomes available, we will volunteer by using the same digital distribution and supply chain to ensure that the vaccine reaches every nook and corner of our country,” said Nita.
Nita Ambani spoke for the first time at the Annual General Meeting of Reliance Industries. She mentioned that the Reliance Foundation is looking to partner with the government for rapid mass-scale testing.
Earlier on Tuesday, The Director-General of ICMR, Dr Balram Bhargava had said,” Since India is one of the largest vaccine producers in the world, it is the country’s moral responsibility to fast-track vaccine development to break the chain of coronavirus transmission”.
