Gingham is a checkered, usually lightweight cotton fabric that frequently blends white with red, blue, or green. Read the details about it in this article.
What is Gingham?
Gingham, commonly referred to as Vichy check, is typically a two-colour pattern. It is a medium-weight, evenly distributed, plain-woven fabric that often has brightly coloured duotone stripes, checks, or plaid designs and can be found in a range of sizes. The gingham pattern is reversible and identical on both sides. It is formed of carded, medium or fine yarns and dyed cotton or cotton blend yarns. Because it is inexpensive and simple to produce, gingham is a widely used fabric for tablecloths, dresses, and button-down shirts.
How is it used in fashion and clothing?
Style it up since the pattern is widely used in gowns, capes, jackets, and other items and is even appropriate for office wear. Both gingham dress shirts and gingham button-down shirts look great with a pair of slacks or jeans and are available with short or long sleeves. Additionally, beach towels and bathing suits frequently feature the gingham design.
Additionally, gingham is fantastic for accessorising as well.
