India’s Coronavirus tally reached 9,68,876 as the states reported 32,695 positive cases in the last 24 hours, as per the data released by Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The number of fatalities recorded in the last 24 hours has also been the highest yet – 606 deaths. The death toll has reached 24,915.

In the last 24 hours, Maharashtra reported 233 deaths, followed by Karnataka with 86 deaths, Tamil Nadu 68 deaths, Andhra Pradesh 44 deaths, Delhi 41 deaths, Uttar Pradesh 29, West Bengal 20, Jammu and Kashmir and Telangana 11 deaths each, Gujarat 10 deaths and Madhya Pradesh reported 9 fatalities.

The active number of cases stands at 3,31,146 while 6,12,814 patients have recovered to date. India’s recovery rate stands at 63.25%.

According to the data provided by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), India has tested a total of 1.27 crore samples till date. In the last 24 hours, 3.24 lakh samples were tested for Coronavirus.

– Maharashtra is the worst-affected Indian state – it has recorded 2,75,640 Coronavirus cases and 10,928 fatalities. – Tamil Nadu has reported 1,51,820 cases and 2,167 deaths.
– Delhi has a tally of 1,16,993 cases and the death toll at 3,487.

The government of India said the medical infrastructure to treat patients includes 1,378 Dedicated COVID Hospitals (DCH), 3077 Dedicated COVID Health Centres (DCHC), and 10351 COVID Care Centres (CCC).
