United States’ President Donald Trump, said in a statement that US is leading the world in terms of COVID-19 testing and India lies at the second position. The statement was made by the American president while updating the media about the administration’s response to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Donald Trump said that US is “leading the world” in terms of COVID-19 testing. “We’re going to be over 50 million tests and the second country is India with over 12 million tests”, stated President Trump. “I think we’re doing a tremendous amount of testing”, he further added.
The novel Coronavirus has so far claimed 1,44,000 lives in the United States. The COVID-19 positive case count can touch 4 million at any point in the country. However, even after a huge daily surge, President Trump had been reluctant in following the ‘nation-wide lockdown’ norm which has actually helped a lot of countries to control the spread of the disease.
President Trump, however, has asserted that they are “developing a powerful strategy” to control the spread of this disease. “We’ve learned a great deal about it (COVID-19) and who it targets. We are in the process of developing a strategy that’s going to be very, very powerful”, he quoted in a statement.
The American president also claimed that the vaccine to control the virus would actually come to the market much before anticipated. “As one family, we mourn the every precious life that’s been lost. I pledge in their honor that we will develop a vaccine and we will defeat the virus. We’re doing very well with vaccine development and therapeutic development”, said Donald Trump.
