On Sunday, March 20, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has ordered to suspend activities of eleven political parties that have connections with Russia.
Out of the 11 political parties, the largest is the Opposition Platform for Life, which has 44 out of 450 seats in Ukraine’s parliament. Viktor Medvedchuk is the party head & the Russian President Vladimir Putin is considered as the godfather of Medvedchuk’s daughter.
Another top politician on the list is the head of Nashi Ours, Yevheniy Murayev. The UK had warned that Russia wants to make Murayev the leader of Ukraine. Zelenskyy stated in his video that the activities of the political parties have been suspended until martial law is enforced. He further added that political discord will only lead to Ukraine’s defeat by Russia.
Zelenskyy has condemned Russia’s attack on the beautiful city of Mariupol & has said that this terror attack will be remembered for centuries to come.
