Russia attacked Ukraine with a massive missile and drone strike on Monday, said Ukrainian military on Monday as reported by Reuters.
According to AFP, at least seven explosions were heard in Kiev, amid a countrywide alert warning of Russian aerial attacks.
The air force of Ukraine confirmed the launch of many missiles and informed the Ukrainians that Russia had 11 TU-95 strategic bombers in the air.
The Associated Press reported that numerous groups of Russian drones were headed toward Ukraine’s eastern, northern, southern and central areas, followed by multiple cruise and ballistic missiles.
At midnight, the attack started and it is still going strong. This seems to be Russia’s most significant attack on Ukraine in recent times.
Authorities in Lutsk, in the northwest of the country, reported explosions and stated that one person had died and an apartment block had been damaged.
