What you are going to read is a hard reality and please read it with a pinch of salt.
On February 25th Ukraine President Zelenskyy refused to take the airlift evacuation support from the US and requested for ammunition, not a free ride. Soon after that people across the globe were rooting that Zelenskyy was seen wearing the military gear alongside his military men. He also asked why the European leaders held their silence over Ukraine’s NATO alliance.
His images were shared like wildfire (over 30,000 times) and people were very happy to see a President like Zelenskyy acting for real like a comrade, fighting against the forces in real-time to protect the national interest of Ukraine.
Now the interesting fact discovered is that the images are old and not in proportionate with the Ukraine crisis.
There is a technique that they used called the reverse image search, they found the first image to be from Getty Images. Now as per the factual information Getty provided, it’s from Zelenskyy’s visit to the Donbas region on 6th December 2021.
And the second image that made rounds was the one from a Reuters old news dated 21st April 2021. Here as per the news report, Zelenskyy had once again visited Donbas region on 9th April 2021.
There are a plethora of such images where one would find Zelenskyy in safety gear but not the military gear Ukrainian forces are seen wearing. Zelenskyy has visited the separatist regions on 17th February 2022.
Also, it is still not clear where did this claim begin from to start with. So we cannot claim that Zelenskyy is fighting standing in the frontline alongside his military forces.
