North Korea claims that sanctions won’t stop its development of missiles

The statement was issued a day after North Korea completed a “important” test for the creation of a spy satellite despite repeated “warnings” from the US. Kim Yo Jong is the powerful sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

Days after launching what appeared to be two medium-range ballistic missiles in what it called a “important” test for the building of a spy satellite, North Korea declared on Tuesday that extra sanctions won’t stop its missile programme.

Kim Yo Jong, the powerful sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, said in a statement released by the official KCNA news agency that such a development is directly related to the security of the nation.
