UN Secretary-General António Guterres in his speech said that the UN called for an instantaneous ceasefire by all parties.

United Nations General Assembly’s 11th Emergency Special Session for Ukraine crisis was held on Monday.

UN Secretary-General António Guterres in his speech said that the UN call for an instantaneous ceasefire by all parties; exercise absolute restraint and start a dialogue. He asserted that Diplomacy and dialogue must persist.

He also noted that humanitarian aid is crucial, it’s not a solution, the only remedy is through peace. He has ensured the Ukraine President that the UN will proceed to assist, will not vacate them, will furnish them with humanitarian assistance.

Increasing violence is emerging in civilians’ death. Enough is Enough, soldiers require to move back to barracks, civilians must be preserved.

However, Ukrainian Ambassador to the UN Sergiy Kyslytsya at the UNGA emergency session noted, “It is for the first time since the UN was bred, there is a wide fledged war in the centre of Europe … this battle was not provoked, it was elected by someone right now squatting in a bunker.” He also asserted that till today, 352 people comprising 16 children were killed on the Ukraine side. These figures are growing nonstop as the shelling proceeds.

Kyslytsya also noted that not only the Ukrainian people but Russian troops are also suffering in the war. He claimed that already 1000s of Kremlin forces have died. He urged to stop the terrible war against Ukraine. “We demand Russia to unconditionally withdraw its forces and demand full compliance with international humanitarian law,” he further stated.
