Two members of the United Arab Emirates armed forces were killed on Monday after a military helicopter crashed due to a technical malfunction while carrying out a mission within the country, the UAE Ministry of Defense said in an official statement.
According to the ministry, the crash occurred while the helicopter was performing its national duty on Monday, March 9, 2026. The incident resulted in the death of two service members who were on board the aircraft at the time of the accident.
“The Ministry of Defense announces the martyrdom of two members of the armed forces following the crash of a helicopter due to a technical malfunction while performing their national duty in the country today,” the statement said.
