On Saturday, March 13, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made an appeal to all the mothers in Russia to prevent their sons from participating in this unprovoked invasion.
Zelenskyy released a video on Telegram & urged the Russian mothers to not let their sons capture or die in this unfair war. “I want to say this once again to Russian mothers, especially mothers of conscripts. Do not send your children to war in a foreign country,” the Ukrainian president said in the video.
He further urged the Russian mothers to keep their sons in check & act immediately upon suspicion. “Check where your son is. And if you have the slightest suspicion that your son could be sent to war against Ukraine, act immediately,” Zelenskyy said.
Earlier Ukraine had allowed Russian mothers to meet the sons who are captured in the war. The email & mobile numbers of the captured soldiers have been published by the Ukrainian Defence Ministry.
Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin had claimed that there have been some positive shifts in talks with Ukraine but there are no signs of positivity to be seen on the battlefield.
