Coffee lovers, hold your horses: The Forsytes, Season 2, shows it is going to continue, but it has not been scheduled for May 2026.

Although PBS Masterpiece aired the first Season finale on April 26, 2026, and released a first look at the new season on the same day, sources say that post-production is still in progress. Channel 5 (UK) has said they will show these episodes “at some point in 2026,” but did not provide a definite date for spring.

So what’s holding them up? Industry trends indicate that The Forsytes are likely following a year-long fall rollout; Season 1 was released in the UK in October, and experts predict that the same will occur with the second season, which has finished filming in Bristol and editing is currently underway. Given the status of current productions, a more likely estimate for the premiere is the fourth quarter of 2026.

Social media speculation increased dramatically once PBS released the teaser and Stephen Moyer confirmed that the show had been greenlit by PBS and Channel 5 for two additional seasons before Season 1 had even aired. Netflix was never included in the production of this show, and so streaming will not take place until after the broadcast has completed.

What’s Next? There is no chance of a May 2026 premiere. An announcement will follow in the summer and will allow viewers to accurately calibrate their Edwardian expectations. There is much left to see before the Forsyte saga ends; in fact, since Season 1 has ended, you may wish to begin watching it again at this time.
