SAS Rogue Heroes Season 3 has begun to film, but its premiere date will be in mid-to-late 2026, and NOT May 2026 as originally expected, from the producer, Steven Knight’s recent comments regarding the beginning of production on Season 3 and the “beauty” of the new episodes to Timelapse’s production timeline for period war dramas (like SAS Rogue Heroes).
Performers filming on SAS Rogue Heroes Season Three are Jack O’Connell, Sofia Boutella, and Dominic West; and the new episodes will depict Nazi-occupied France in 1944 as they follow Paddy Mayne (the lead character) and the SAS parachuting behind enemy lines with the support of the French Resistance.
You won’t be able to see SAS Rogue Heroes Season 3 until Summer 2026, when the show will have been filmed; however, until then, enjoy rewatching both previously aired Seasons One & Two on BBC iPlayer; those episodes will provide you with an exciting lead-up to this episode premiere!
Following the early release of teaser clips and fan-created edits, speculation about a spring date is surging; however, because the BBC is purposely refraining from announcing the season 3 premiere until the end of the Summer, all spring broadcast calendar viewers are simply waiting to find out when the show will be returning.
As expected, fans won’t be seeing O’Connell, West, or Boutella again; instead, they can expect the action to occur in largely Nazi-held territory during the Second World War — specifically, in 1944 with SAS and Paddy Mayne parachuting into occupied France with accompaniment from the local French resistance.
While we can’t give a confirmed timeframe, expect to hear more information on a date for Season 3 this Summer. You can rewatch Season 1-Season 2 on BBC iPlayer while also preparing to get your limited-time, 3-D, English language translation ready for future viewing. The in-season 2 premiere of the complete series is one of the most well-timed series of the Fall Season.
