Austin Butler has finally addressed the dating rumors linking him to supermodel Emily Ratajkowski. Over the past year, the 34-year-old actor has been the subject of speculation following his breakup with Kaia Gerber and rumors about Zoë Kravitz. Despite frequent sightings with Emily, Austin clarified that they are just friends.
Speaking to Vanity Fair, he said, “The true answer is that I have a lot of friends and we’re friends and we had dinner, and that we’re friends.” He explained that the attention and assumptions about their time together made him want to avoid the spotlight. “I just wanted to hide,” he added.
The pair were seen together several times, sparking rumors. In September, they were photographed having a cozy dinner in New York City. Later, they were spotted at a booth in the West Village’s Waverly Inn, enjoying drinks, and then again at the afterparty of Caught Stealing’s movie premiere in NYC.
Austin has also been linked to Zoë Kravitz through his work on the same film, though she now seems to be with Harry Styles. He said he isn’t bothered by the speculation and doesn’t want to live his life restricted by what people think. “I’m going to live a constricted, small life because I’m afraid of what other people are going to say or what they’re going to think?” he reflected. He also shared that he still looks forward to a future filled with marriage and kids.
