The latest episode of The Kardashians featured a moment nobody saw coming. Caitlyn Jenner, the mother of Kendall and Kylie Jenner, made an appearance for the first time in the show. The episode was about everyone gathering at their old home, the El Dorado Meadow, for a farewell dinner. It was quite a special place, full of memories, and one that brought the family together to say goodbye.
What made the episode even more emotional was when Kris invited her ex-partner, Caitlyn, to join in. For those who may not know, Caitlyn was once one of the main stars in Keeping Up with the Kardashians but had not appeared in the new series until then. It was a surprise and heartwarming to see her walk in after all these years.
The two had not spoken much since their 2014 divorce, after 22 years of marriage. So when Kris called Caitlyn to invite her, it came as a huge shock. The dinner happened in their Los Angeles home where Kendall and Kylie spent their school years growing up. The moment Caitlyn arrived, Kris smiled and said, “There she is.”
Caitlyn informed them that she had just received the call about an hour prior while she was relaxing and watching TV. She seemed a bit nervous but happy to be there. She mentioned that she had once bought the home Kris left behind but it had become hard to maintain financially.
Kendall said she did not expect to see her dad there. She said her mom and dad’s relationship wasn’t bad, just distant. She was glad her mom had made the gesture to invite Caitlyn without being asked. Kylie also said she did not know if her parents would ever be close friends again, but this was a really positive step forward.
The rest of the family, Kim, Kourtney, Khloé, and Rob, were also present. It seemed to be an emotional moment for everyone. Khloé claimed it was just such a selfless thing to do on her mom’s part and that she really was in shock when Caitlyn walked in. She said she could tell this wasn’t easy for Kris, but it felt like the right thing to do. The dinner was emotional and meaningful, showing how far the family had come. Even with their complicated history, it was clear there was still care and respect between them.
