As of 9:42 AM EST, the U.S. stock market saw a decline in early trading, with major indices slipping as investors monitored ongoing economic trends on Friday. Adding to this, Trump’s tariff threats continue to impact the market momentum and in this regard the upcoming months are going to be crucial for the country’s economy and Wall Street.
As trading began on Friday, the S&P 500 opened at 6,105.59, reflecting a 0.19% drop. Meanwhile, the tech-sector led NASDAQ 100 Index fell by 0.48% to settle at 22,068.06, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average slid 0.63% to have a valuation of 43,898.95.
The tech-heavy NASDAQ Composite Index also experienced losses, declining 0.47% to 19,962.36. Additionally, the NYSE Composite Index also added to the market momentum as it dropped by 0.16%, settling at 20,116.70.
