RIL 45th AGM: Isha Ambani on Reliance Retail

Jio operates over 15k stores and delivers to 260 towns. It has 2500 new stores, double warehousing, and delivers to 260 towns.

On Monday, Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) held its annual general meeting (AGM). The AGM was held via online video conference for the third year in a row.

Isha Ambani said, Our digital commerce platforms continued to expand, with nearly six lakh orders delivered every day, a 2.5-fold increase over last year. Jio Mart, which delivers in over 260 towns, was named India’s most trusted brand for online grocery shopping.

She further added, “We opened over 2,500 stores in the year, bringing our total store count to over 15,000, with a total floor area of 42 million square feet. We doubled warehouse space to 670 million cubic feet. We created over 150,000 jobs, increasing our employee base to 360,000.”

With the spirit of inclusion at its core, RIL have accelerated the New Commerce initiative. Our merchant partner base has increased to over 20 lakh since our launch two years ago. We add about 1,50,000 partners a month, and in five years, we expect to have 1 crore merchants stated  Shashi Ambani.

He continued saying that by introducing several new products in the categories of office supplies, home goods, personal care, and general merchandise throughout the year, we increased the visibility of our own brands. Additionally, we began our WhatsApp-JioMart partnership.
