Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organization (PESO) to introduce ISO Tank Containers for movement of Liquid Oxygen for domestic transport: Ministry of Commerce & Industry

About 90,000 COVID-19 cases are coming daily in India with many patients on ventilators. Thus, there is a high demand of Oxygen cylinders. Maharashtra and other badly affected states of India are facing shortage of Oxygen cylinder and it has resulted in loss of many human lives.

Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organization (PESO) has introduced ISO Tank containers for the easy movement of liquid oxygen. This is going to help a lot in the supply of oxygen, to COVID-19 treatment centres. Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) , Ministry of Commerce and Industry has given permission to Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organization for the ISO tank Containers.
