Local police, disaster response teams, and nearby villagers have launched intensive search and rescue efforts at the site. Authorities say the region has received heavy rainfall over the past two days, leading to a significant rise in the Indrayani’s water levels, which may have contributed to the collapse.

Visuals on social media show frantic rescue efforts and the aftermath of the collapse.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has been informed, and coordination with state agencies is ongoing.
