India surpasses Russia becoming the third worst affected nation in COVID-19 tally. With record 6.90 Lakh COVID-19 positive cases. Therefore, India crossed Russia taking the third position in the list of countries being worst-hit by the pandemic. Also, by logging close to 25000 cases. Which were between Saturday and Sunday. India saw its highest single day spike in Corona Virus cases. The country has surpassed Russia. Which recorded 6.8 Lakh cases. Making it the third worst hit country in the world. As per the data provided by John Hopkins University.

The United States remains undefeated for the first place. Recording more than  28 Lakh cases of the novel Corona Virus till Sunday. The second place is taken by Brazil with over 15.7 Lakh cases of the infection. 

Maharashtra again stands as the highest contributing state of infections in India. The total number of cases in the state amounts to over 2 Lakh. With a death toll of over 8000 people. Almost 7000 fresh cases were recorded. Which in the state within Saturday and Sunday marking. Furthermore, the highest single day spike in any Indian state so far. 

While touching the 1 Lakh cases mark, Tamil Nadu has become the second highest contributor of cases in India. The state reported over 4000 fresh cases of the virus between Saturday and Sunday. The current death toll is about to touch 1400 in the state.

However, with touching the 1 Lakh number. Therefore, Delhi stands at the third place of states contributing to Corona Virus in India. Over 2200 people tested positive for the infection between Saturday and Sunday with deaths almost touching the 3000 mark.

India is currently in the state of unlock down. Where the government liberalized the norms for movement in the country. So as to resume the functioning of the economy. The government has prescribed norms even for the movement. And is still advising people to not leave their homes till it’s necessary.
