Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant announced via his twitter handle that he has tested positive for Coronavirus. He also stated that he is asymptomatic and has thus opted for home isolation.
I wish to inform all that I have been detected COVID19 positive. I am asymptomatic and hence have opted for home isolation. I shall continue to discharge my duties working from home. Those who have come in my close contact are advised to take the necessary precautions.

The CMO stated that Mr. Sawant went for COVID-19 on Wednesday at a Primary Health Centre and hi report was positive. Pramod Sawant has urged everyone in his close contact to take complete precautions.
The state of Goa has reported 18,006 COVID-19 cases so far.
