
Mercedes-Benz India has said that they are all set to launch their fully electric luxury sedan tomorrow n 24th of August.
This car will set a new standard in the luxury car segment as it is longer, faster and more eco-friendly compared to the S-Class series of the German Automobile maker.
The EQS will be the first AMG model that will be launched in India.
Let us look at the features of the car:
The exterior
The car features a powerful flowing coupe design that represents a silhouette that will be coupled with a blacked-out paint job. The car will feature a sporty grille area with a large-sized Mercedes logo in the centre. The rear lights are in the form of a 3D helix. The car has an option of 22-inch alloy wheels.
The interior
The car’s interior is loaded with the latest specifications coupled with a state-of-the-art infotainment system. This will be the first Mercedes car to feature a 56inch MBUX Hyperscreen that merges 3 separate OLED displays into one. The Hyperscreen is powered by an 8-core CPU and 24 GB RAM the three displays integrated into the Hyperscreen measure 12 .3-inch, 17.7-inch and 12.3-inch respectively. The EQS has leather seats that allow 4 passengers and 1 driver. These leather seats have massage and heating features. The car has an in-built the new HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Air) fine dust filter that can clean the incoming air of the smallest particles such as pollen and fine dust particles and neutralise unpleasant odours.
The battery and Range
The EV is packed with a 108 kWh battery pack that gives it a range of 541 to 576Km at a full charge. It supports fast charging upto 200kW that can charge the EV from 10-80% in a matter of 31 minutes.
A typical house charger of 7.4kW will take 15 and half hours to charge to give a 100% charge.
The Power
The car will have a top speed of 220kmph and can reach 0- 100kmph in just 3.8 seconds and has a torque of 658 hp and 980 nm.
Price range
The EQS is set to enter the Indian markets with a price tag of upwards of Rs crores.
