Hopes for PUBG’s relaunch in India get overshadowed as Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has yet not given clearance for its relaunch. There has been extreme excitement among the Indian masses since PUBG announced that they would be relaunching in India with special modifications.
However, recent reports from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs state that they have granted approval for the registration of the company PUBG India Private Limited. According to a report by Gadgets Now, PUBG India private limited is listed on the Ministry of Corporate Affairs website with a Corporate Identity Number of U72900KA2020FTC141285. This suggests that PUBG Mobile India is one step away from making a grand comeback.
It’s been three months since the PUBG ban in India which was imposed in the wake of the tensions between India and China at the Galwan valley in Ladakh. With teasers and special curations for the Indian market, there has been a lot of speculations over the relaunch date of the game but as of now, there has been no official notification from the Central Government.
Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology to date has banned over 100 Chinese apps. A MeitY official said that there has been no change in the stance that was taken in September at this stage.
