Apple is ready to begin WWDC 2020 (WorldWide Developers Conference) online event later today. Rumours have started doing rounds about what we might get to see at virtual conference. One of the biggest speculations is about the next version of macOS, which is said to be called ‘Big Sur’.

The new iOS update which was recently rumoured to debut as iPhoneOS is again rumoured to be launched as iOS 14. As per a tipster on Weibo, Apple won’t rename iOS to iPhoneOS, which means that the new update will debut as iOS14.

The next-generation iOS version is said to include a redesigned user interface that would bring widgets to the home screen. Another major update would be the incoming call interface. It would no longer cover the full-screen view. This suggests that users would finally get to set a banner alert style for incoming calls.

Apple would also let iPad users receive an upgraded handwriting input through the new iPadOS update.

Mac users will get macOS Big Sur as an upgrade to the macOS 10.15 Catalina. Big Sur is the mountainous section of the Central Coast of California. The update would have a completely redesigned user interface and an updated Safari browser. It has also been said that there would be new iCloud Keychain Integration, voice search, translation support and improved tabs.
